Falmouth

About Falmouth

Falmouth is an ideal touring centre. The vast variety of the Cornish Coastline is all within easy reach – there are many coves, beaches, towns and villages for you to explore; or visit the many beautiful private or National Trust houses and gardens open to the public, including the Eden Project.

Falmouth’s exceptionally mild climate makes a Spring or Autumn holiday most enjoyable.

Falmouth offers two resorts in one:

North East:

The north east side of Falmouth offers a town full of history and picturesque narrow streets. It is also home to one of the world’s largest natural deep-water harbours where you can sail, fish and take many pleasure boat tours to the River Fal, St Mawes and the nearby Helford River, home of Daphne du Maurier.

Falmouth Harbour is renowned for the Tall Ships Race and The National Maritime Museum.

South Side:

The south side is home to four lovely beaches to relax, swim or explore rock pools or, for the more energetic, diving and wind surfing.

There are amazing walks through sub tropical gardens and to Pendennis Castle.
